How long does it take to see seo results?

Hello, I created my own news website where I regularly publish unique articles.
I read a lot of articles about SEO optimization, followed all of the recommendations in the articles and published content, but there is absolutely no result.
Search engines simply don't want display my website for keywords even on the 10-20 places in search results, not to mention the first spots.
I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong, how long does it take to get real results of my hard work?
